Source of Lit - A Public Space
Issue 2 of A Public Space has hit my mailbox and the first thing I did was rush to read the new essay by Ander Monson - I can't wait until his award winning collection of essays comes out from Graywolf Press next year. This one, Stop, was excellent, an elegy for telegram and starflight.
There's fiction by David Mitchell, Acknowledgements, which reminded me quite a bit of the latest LBC Read This! selection, Michael Martone by Michael Martone. Very well done, and damn funny.
The issue also has a section focusing on Russia and a really elegant piece from Chris Sorrentino about taking his father's advice.
