Speaking of short fiction contests, and in reply to the recent comment, yes, things will be being announced very shortly. I dropped off the 20 finalists today to be copied, so I can send them to Charles D'Ambrosio later this week.
I apologize for the delay, I completely blanked out about 45 days ago, set aside the top 20, re-read them all to make sure I loved them all still, and meant to drop them off the next day to be copied. Just realized late last night that I still had them all sitting in the same binder.
So, copies being made overnight here - will verify D'Ambrosio's address as he was teaching this fall and I'm not sure if he's still there, or back at home, and get them out before week's end.
The 20 finalists will be posted right after I put them in the mail. The announcement of the winner will be a little later than intended - again, not because I didn't believe any of the manuscripts were of sufficient quality, or even because I received way more than I expected, but due to a lapse in brain synapse functions.
I look forward to seeing which title Charles chooses as the winner, and getting it off to Kyle for the next issue of Frostproof Review and all of the pomp and circumstance that goes with his decision.

Copy swiftly, sir.
We are all quite curious. :)
