Without Biting the Fruit of Knowledge, by Jennifer Trudeau, appears at Identity Theory, and begins:
"Adam, the First Man, sat on Eve's floor in a pair of blue briefs." Based on the title and the names of the first two characters mentioned, one might assume some biblical influence on the story. One would be correct - in fact, it's actually an exploration of these two, in some more detail than one would find in the Bible. From a later paragraph, at what is almost being described as a party of sorts:
"Adam has his choice. he is selective. Eve doesn't hold it against him. They want him. They want the One created, want to feel what the hand of God felt when Adam was made flesh and for his part, Adam just wants to fulfill them. And Adam. Eve commends him or condemns it, unpredictably; Eve is moody."
Trudeau takes a chance in dipping her quill into this original story, but pulls off messing with such well known characters. It's a story worth spending a little time with.

Both the Trudeau stories are first rate as are the two journal sites on which they appear: Identity Theory and Storyglossia. Double dose of cool!
