Essay from Yannick Murphy
I've only posted slightly about Yannick Murphy's most recent novel, Signed, Mata Hari. I've not reviewed it yet, but can say that I absolutely loved it, and that hardcover is truly a lovely book.
Yannick Murphy has written an essay that is, kind of, about the writing of this wonderful novel. The smart folks at Powells appear to have requested she do so. It's well worth your time to read both the novel, and the essay. There even appears to be a reference at the beginning of the essay to the title story of Yannick's forthcoming collection.
(Thanks to both Peter and Judy for pointing this out to me)
