Nice Things Said Re: EWN

  • "Dan Wickett is serious about a good read. But the EWN email list doesn't just deliver his sure-footed reviews; it also brings you news and connections to other writers. Sign up now - he understands what readers want to know about books." Quinn Dalton, author, Bulletproof Girl

"Mr. Wickett is that rarely heard from but best of all possible reviewers - the dedicated and knowledgeable fan. He writes clean-cutting and fresh reviews that represent a sensibility unspoiled by over-exposure to the biz of books, but deeply in love with them." Daniel Woodrell, author, Winter's Bone

"Dan Wickett is a reader's best friend. Not only does he read and trenchantly review new work, but he looks back to books that deserve ongoing readership. I've lost track of the number of times he's led me to boks that I overlooked (or never knew about), and that were a delight. There aren't many reviewers I will let shape my library, but Dan Wickett is one." Erin McGraw, author, The Baby Tree

I just came across this page and it looks interesting. I hope to come back when I have more time to poke around.

    Good Morning,

I am currently working to publish a book on this historic presidential election. I am seeking those of you who possess literary prowess. I need poems written about the success of Barack Obama and I need them quickly. If you are, or know of someone who writes poetry and would like to be published in a book that will be distributed internationally, please contact me right away. My plans are to take this project to press this Thursday afternoon 11/20/08, so I would need something by late Wednesday. All credit will be given to the participating writers as well as a copy of this historic and collectable keepsake. It will be a spectacular book and an excellent opportunity for those with talent to get some phenomenal recognition.

    Let me know... soon!

    Greetings my literary friends.

I am starting work on my second newsprint article book entitled "44th the Inauguration". It will be a 250 page hardbound coffee table book (12" x 22") displaying the front pages of worldwide newspapers showcasing the coverage of the January 20th 2009 ceremonies.

If you would like to submit a positive poem about Barack Obama for consideration please do so before January 5, 2009. Poems will be juried and accepted entries will be notified before January 15th. We are dedicating a special section to poets from Hawaii, Indonesia and Kenya. If you are or know of someone who is from these regions please inform them or consider submitting an entry. Check out a virtual copy of the first one by clicking this link http://www.44th.net/frontpage.html then clicking view virtual book.

Questions and entries may be directed to mewiii@44th.net . Please feel free to pass this information on to your literary cohorts and friends.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.
