Short Story Month is not just being celebrated here at the Emerging Writers Network. Posts being done in much, much, much greater studied detail (well, aside from the guest posts here) are being done over at Matt Bell's site, the blog of the fantastic literary journal Hobart (mainly by Aaron Burch), and over at StoryGLOSSIA (which is great for those of you that remember when Steven was spending more time blogging and dissecting fantastic short stories). These are the sites that I've noticed doing daily posting and in two of the cases, using the logo provided by Steven Seighman.
There have been many other mentions of Short Story Month. This includes my personal favorite, Laura Roberts, Button Tapper, who has begun to blog, like the above, about a story per day. From her initial post:
"What this means is that some lunatic named Dan Wickett is posting reviews of three different short stories EVERY DAY during the month of May. Three stories! I’ve got two words for you: In-Sane!"
Others have begun Twittering about it, and some other blogs have mentioned it including (apologies in advance to those that I've missed):
Bookfox, Ploughshares Blog,Publishers Weekly, Readerville, Perpetual Folly, KatDenza, worldisphat, Vroman's blog, Words, words, words, Fiction Writers Review, The blog of The Story Prize, Practicing Writing, Identity Theory, Flash Fiction Comments, Jacket Copy, Annie Writes About Writing.
