Last night, while I was posting about my favorite things I've read so far this year, I forgot to mention that it was the twelfth anniversary of the Emerging Writers Network Blog. The first post (a very short introduction) was on June 26, 2005, not long after a guest stint at another blog. It was a little more than five years after the EWN had officially started with that March 2000 review of Alyson Hagy's Keeneland.
I'm not sure I can truly claim a dozen years of blogging as there were a couple in there that might have seen an average of a post per month or so, but dig back into 2006-07 and maybe like me, you'll begin to ponder just what sort of stimulant I was buzzing along on.
I appreciate the fact that any of you still wander by every so often to see what I might be thinking about in regard to literature.
