That's right, Robert Birnbaum, interviewed by Ed Champion (w/some minor piping in by Sarah Weinman).

Even though Ed paints Midwesterners as the literary lost and Uncle Robert refers to litbloggers as "you people" a couple of times, it's well worth your time to listen in to this one.

Are you going to claim I didn't hear "what about those poor dopes in the midwest who think they might like to read one day but don't have a source to find out what they should be reading?" when discussing the merits of the NYTBR with Uncle Robert?
