Regular readers here may recall reading the name Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie around here once, twice, or around thirty times in 2006, frothing at the mouth a bit about her second novel, Half of a Yellow Sun.
It has won the Orange Prize for Fiction (sorry, I'm not receiving any corporate fees from their sponsor), and I obviously feel it's well deserved.
Adichie is a writer who should be being read. Purple Hibiscus was fantastic. This prize winning novel is obviously damn good. And other recent work by Adichie has been just as exciting. And she's kind enough to do interviews with we quiet internet folks.
Congratulations to her!

I'm so happy to see this! Adichie is one of my favorite writers. Definitely well deserved.

Dan, your obvious enthusiasm was what connected me with that book, and I'm so grateful. What an extraordinary read.
