Okay, I've sort of thrown down the gauntlet to myself with that copying of Blake Butler's post Saturday. Off and running right now to start the week off, but coming soon, here at the EWN:
Reviews of:
Jean-Claude Izzo - A Sun for the Dying (Europa Editions, 2008)
(side note - Steven Seighman aside, is there anybody doing nicer covers on a book by book basis than Europa?)
Erin McGraw - The Seamstress of Hollywood Boulevard (Houghton Mifflin, 2008)
Jonathan Evison - All About Lulu (Soft Skull Press, 2008)
I can say this though, do NOT wait for my reviews, rush out and find all of these now, the reviews will be positive to say the least.
There will also be Source of Lit posts for recent issues of Unsaid (get it, if only for Brian Evenson's novella and his essay on Peter Markus - that said, those are NOT the only reasons to get it), Hobart, and hell, many, many others that I've enjoyed and realized I've not posted about.
