As happens to us here at the EWN every single time we try to do a "month" special project, we get a bit busy elsewhere and find ourselves catching up. Hopefully we'll see two posts here today on both Small Press Month and Chapbook Month. In any case, here is "yesterday's" Small Press Month post.
Scrambler Books hails out of Sacremento, CA and has been around since April of 2008. Per their website, Scrambler Books is an independent micro press with the simple goal of publishing quality poetry and fiction books. Started in April, 2008, Scrambler Books is the print publishing arm of The Scrambler e-zine.
With books from authors such as J.A. Tyler, Shane Jones, and Valerie Loveland, among others, the press is off to a flying good start. Four poetry collections and a novella so far in paperback form, nice 6" x 9" books (though the Tyler is a smaller, easy to hold 4.25"x 6.875".
It's a small (or micro) press to keep your eye on.
